Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Rabat

Today we leave Jon, a small village in the Rif Mountains, and head to Rabat, the capital and one of the largest cities of the country. After breakfast, we set out to drive about 250 kilometers.

You’ll have the chance to explore some amazing places in Rabat, which and the nearby town of Sare have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
For example, the Kasbah of Udaya, which offers a pleasant view of the sea. Or the Hassan Tower, built in the 12th century by order of the Almohad Sultan Yakub al-Mansour, similar to the Giralda Tower in Seville. Another large building that is popular with the public is the Mausoleum of the Sovereign King of Morocco, Mohammed V. You can also experience the vibrancy of a big city like Rabat, with its own beaches, bustling bazaars, beautiful Arab Art Deco New Town and a host of fascinating museums.

. And by spending the night in the riad, located in the city centre, you’ll have an easier time planning your day out.

Day 4: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

After breakfast at the riad, we will journey to the Roman city of Volubilis, which is where the archaeological site is located. At the time, this region was a part of the province of Mauritania Tingitana. By being designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it protects ancient ruins that are both historically significant and, in certain cases, exceptionally beautiful, such as the columns of the Temple of Jupiter and its exquisite mosaics.
After visiting this archaeological site we will go to Meknes. It is another of the imperial cities and therefore one of the main attractions of Morocco. When Sultan Moulay Ismail established Meknes as his capital in the late 17th and early 18th centuries, it attained this position. That is why his imposing mausoleum, a lovely medina, and the remnants of the great wall with imposing gates like Bab Mansour are all located here.
For all these reasons, its World Heritage status is more than deserved.

After a free visit to Meknes, we will go to another imperial city recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is Fez, which we will reach at the end of the day. For this reason and because of its great interest, we will wait until the next day to visit it in more detail, as it is one of the main tourist and cultural attractions of Morocco. Therefore, after some free time to explore the city, you will spend the night in a charming riad to regain your strength.

Day 5: Fes guided tour

After breakfast, a local guide will take you to Fes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities and the nation’s spiritual and cultural center. The oldest medina, the medersas of Cherratine and El-Attarine (buildings dedicated to religious study and decorated in Arabic style), the University of Karaouiynes, and the Fountain of Nejjarine are among places you will have the opportunity to see. Visit the many souks that are distinguished by their handicrafts after lunch. These include the famous tanners’ area and the Mechouar of the Royal Palace. Hotel overnight stay.

Day 6: Fes Ifrane – Ziz Valley –  Merzouga desert

After breakfast, we leave Fez for Ifrane, which is known as the “Little Switzerland of Africa” because it is located in the hilly area of the Middle Atlas Mountains and at an altitude of 1713 meters. On our journey from Ifrane to Midelt, we stop briefly in the famous cedar forests of Middle Atlas, home to one of the last remaining populations of Barbary macaques, found only in the region and Gibraltar found.

We follow the route through the impressive Ziz river valley. The route through the Ziz valley is through limestone gorges lined with tall date palms and mixed with the adobe house constructions, making the place a fascinating sight to behold. The Ziz River rises in the High Atlas and digs its way through impressive cliffs, heading south, where it irrigates the immense palm grove of Tafilalet. The water marks the route to the desert, where it disappears after more than 270 km.

In the afternoon we will arrive in Merzouga at the foot of the dunes, we will leave the 4×4 and get on the camels that will take us to the high desert dunes to enjoy an unforgettable sunset. Night In the Desert Camp.

Day 7: Merzouga – Ramlia (off road)

We will get up early to meet the sunrise in the dunes and after a good breakfast we will go to the oasis of Ramlia, a beautiful oasis with palm trees in the Tafilalt region, located in the southeast of the Sahara desert, close to the border of Algeria and Morocco.

To reach Ramlia, we must follow the route of the Paris-Dakar rally, through beautiful desert landscapes, Ramlia is located in the middle of nowhere, its inhabitants are ancient nomads, all belonging to the Ait Khbach tribe, which is part of the large Amazigh Ait Atta group from the southeast of the Moroccan Sahara desert and are very hospitable.

Day 8: Ramlia – Dades valley via Paris-dakkar raod

After breakfast, we will drive to Tineghir, which is located in a vast valley washed by the Todra river, which gives irrigation water to several farmed fields in the shadow of a palm grove. The Tineghir palm grove is more than thirty kilometers long and stretches south of the Todra Gorges, one of the natural entrances between the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara and one of the most magnificent oases in the area.

Day 9: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou –  Marrakech

After breakfast, you’ll explore the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which has served as the backdrop for numerous motion pictures, including Sahara, Kingdom of Heaven, Cleopatra, and Gladiator, before continuing on to Marrakech.This sentence is over 30 syllables.
