3 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Merzouga desert.

The first day of the 3 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech, organized by our Morocco travel agency, begins with a pickup from your Fes lodging. We’ll be driving into the central Atlas Mountains and visit the cleanest city in Morocco and Africa, where you will find the Atlas Lion Statue. Following that, our adventure to the desert proceeds, with our next stop in the Cedar grove, where we will see the Barbary Macaque. We will then travel to see both Zaida and Midelt, passing through Morocco’s largest source of dates.

The winding roads will lead us to the desert where the vista of the golden dunes will undoubtedly take your breath away. We’ll then grab camels and ride through the dunes to the desert camp, where you will witness the sunset, the sunrise if necessary, and listen to Berber music beneath a clear night sky full of stars. Day 2: Merzouga desert – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

On the second day of our tour, which is organized by our reputable Morocco travel agency, you will be woken up early by our camp staff to witness a beautiful sunrise near the camp. After capturing some stunning photographs of the dawn, you will have breakfast and begin your journey by leaving the Sahara desert through Erfoud, a city that is well-known for its fossil mines and an important stop on our Merzouga desert trip.

You will then visit the Fezna Irrigation System which is a network of wells that provide water to the city’s agricultural areas. Afterwards, you will head to Melaab, a traditional Berber village where you can learn about their culture and try on their traditional clothing. You will also pass through the city of Tinghir, known for its towering canyons, where your driver will stop for you to take in the breathtaking views and possibly witness people climbing and picnicking. Day 3: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

On the last day of this three-day Fes to Marrakech desert tour, included in our Morocco vacation package, you will depart from Boumalne Dades after breakfast. The tour will take you to visit the Rose City, also known as Kalaat M’gouna, which is known for its beautiful roses. Then you will continue to Ouarzazate, also known as Africa’s Hollywood, where you will visit the Atlas studios to learn more about the film industry in Morocco.

Afterwards, you will proceed to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is the oldest fortified settlement in Morocco, where you will have the opportunity to explore and take pictures. Next, you will travel through Morocco’s highest road, Tizi-N-Tichka, and take a pause for some panoramic views before continuing on to see one of the Argan oil women cooperatives, which is a highlight of our 3 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech.
