Itinerary:
Day 1 : Marrakech – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Boumalne Dades
You will be picked up from your riad or hotel at approximately 08:39 AM. The desert tour from Marrakech to the Dades Gorge takes about 7 hours, during which time you will pass through the Atlas Mountains and traditional Berber villages. The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also a 12,000-year-old original village. Today, the city is famous as the Hollywood of Africa, where many movies and TV series have been filmed. Indiana Jones, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and the third season of the TV series “Game of Thrones” are among the most famous. In this picturesque village, you will have the opportunity to have lunch in a building still in use today.
The desert journey from Marrakech to Fez will next take us to Ouarzazate and then to the Dades Gorge via Sukra and the Valley of the Roses. On the first day of the desert tour, we will stay at a hotel in Dades.
Day 2: Boumalne Dades – Tinghir – Ramlia (off road)
After breakfast, departure to Ramlia Desert. The journey begins in the village of Tinegir, where the spectacular Todra Gorge begins, 1350 m above sea level and surrounded by vast groves of palm trees. On the way, we will meet a herd of friendly wild camels grazing on a rocky outcrop. Heading to Alnif, we will pass the Paridaka route through a Berber village and stop for photos with the nomads. Lunch will be a picnic under an acacia tree. we will reach the pure desert of Ramlia in the afternoon and enjoy the sunset on the highest sand dunes.
Day 3: Ramlia to Merzouga off Road.
We will wake up early to catch the sunrise on the dunes and after a delicious breakfast, we will head to Merzouga, a small village in southeastern Morocco at the foot of the Great Erg Chebbi of the Sahara Desert, where we will get off the 4×4 and ride camels to the great dunes of the desert, where we will enjoy an unforgettable sunset. Merzouga is also called “the gateway to the dunes”.
Climbing the dunes and watching the sunset and sunrise will be an unforgettable experience for us. Overnight at a bivouac in the desert.
Day 4: Merzouga – Midelt – Ifran – Fes
Make sure wake up early in the Morning to see sunrise in the top of the dunes, then after breakfast will Return by camel and meet with driver at Merzouga to travel to Fes pass through the villages of Drive through the Ziz valley, with its panorama of palm trees and valleys. Crossing the Tizi-n-Talghomt pass through Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, before arriving in Fez, the cultural capital of Morocco. Arrival in Fez in the afternoon. Transfer to hotel, end of service.
