Day 1 : Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate

We begin the 5 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes by taking you up from your hotel in Marrakech, then head for Telouet through the high Atlas highlands, going through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2260 m in altitude), visiting the Kasbah of Pasha Glaoui in Telouet and stopping for lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon drive to Ait Ben Haddou via the Ounila valley and its Berber communities.

After touring Ait Benhaddou’s Kasbah, we travel to Ouarzazate for dinner and a fantastic night in a hotel.

Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Valley OofRoses – Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges

After eating breakfast in Ouarzazate, we go to Skoura in order to view the Kasbah of Amredil, a lovely Kasbah set among the palm groves “Route of one thousand Kasbahs”. Following that, we continue your execursion in Moorocco, while driving to the beautiful Valley of Roses, where we may encounter a nomad family living in caves. After seeing the Dades gorges and marveling at the amazing rock formations, we go to Boulmane du Dades for lunch. The Day Trips from Marrakech  continue to Tineghir and then to Todra Gorges, where you may enjoy the scenic views of Canyons. You’ll eat supper and spend the night at Kasbah hotel.

Day 3 : Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Erg Chebbi (Merzouga)

On the third day of your 5 days tours from Marrakech to Merzouga sahara desert , we travel to Tinjedad for a nutritious lunch meal at a local restaurant after taking a brief walk through the Palm Plantations and admiring the panoramic views of the Todra River. Then we drive via many towns, including Touroug (a Berber settlement) and El-Jarf, on our way to Erfoud to see a local fossil craft studio. Following that, we drive to the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi dunes, also known as Merzouga Dunes, where you will prepare for an hour and a half camel riding with a  skilly guide to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay in a typical nomad tent.

Day 4 : Erg Chebbi – Nomad Family – Tour of The Dunes

In the breathtaking desert,  and for this day of your Morocco tours, you wake up early to see the sunrise from the top of a dune, then  you’ll have breakfast and ride your camel back to the hotel, where you may shower and rest. You will have the opportunity to go on 4×4 and explore the black volcanic rocks of fossils, experience Gnawa spiritual music in khamlia hamlet, and find the lake Dayte Sarji, which emerges in the spring and attracts pink flamingos and fauna. After lunch in Merzouga or Hassi Labied, you will explore the canal irrigation system and take a walk around the magnificent oasis.  Dinner and overnight stay at an Auberge.

 Day 5 :Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt ––Meknes– Fes

When you are ready, head north through the Tafilaret palm forest, which stretches endlessly for 20 km and is one of the largest palm forests in the world. The valley is named after the river that flows down from the High Atlas and supplies the palm forests.

Here, it is obligatory to view the valley from above and stop at the village of Aoufous.

We will stop in Middelt, in the heart of the Middle Atlas, for lunch. In the afternoon, we will pass through a cedar forest where, if we are lucky, we might see monkeys, and head to Ifrane, located on the northwesternmost slope of the Atlas Mountains at 1,630 meters above sea level.

The width of the boulevards, urban development, immaculate cleanliness, gardens and green spaces, and above all the architecture typical of an Alpine city, make Ifrane so beautiful that it is hard to believe that it is Morocco, and it has been called the “Switzerland of Morocco” and home to one of the best ski resorts in the world, Mikrifen ski resort.
